Our History

Smith Brown & Jones was established in 1986 in Kansas City, Missouri.

Our owner, Donald Smith worked in the agribusiness field for many years with Quaker Oats, Lauhoff Grain Company, and Archer Daniels Midland.
In 1978, Don decided to make a career change and went to work for Christopher and Long Recruitment, Kansas City division, and established their agribusiness division.

After being at Christopher and Long for 8 years, Don founded Smith, Brown & Jones in 1986 as a one man operation with steady growth since then.

We are currently located in Overland Park, KS with an excellent consultant staff of seven recruiters.
