Smith Brown & Jones History
Smith Brown & Jones was established in 1986 in Kansas City, Missouri.
Our founder, Donald Smith worked in the agribusiness field for many years with Quaker Oats, Lauhoff Grain Company, and Archer Daniels Midland.
In 1978, Don decided to make a career change and went to work for Christopher and Long Recruitment, Kansas City division, and established their agribusiness division.
After being at Christopher and Long for 8 years, Don founded Smith, Brown & Jones in 1986 as a one man operation with steady growth since then.
In 2009 Donald Smith passed away. The business was purchased by one of Don’s associates, Larry Copus. Larry’s career started in the food manufacturing industry where he worked for 30 years before entering the recruiting industry.
We are currently located in Stilwell, KS with an excellent consultant staff ready to assist you.
